The Brown Water snake is mainly resident in water and is one of the streamlined snakes you’ll ever see. This snake has a yellow stomach line. Also, you’ll notice the beautiful detailing this snake carries on its neck and overall body.

Biology
Brown water snakes mainly mate from early April through to the next month. A female brown water snake capable of giving birth can bring forth at least forty young ones.

Life Cycle
The brown water snake after hatching grows into maturity in a period of a few months to a complete calendar year. This snake can grow to live for at least two decades, and there are some brown water snakes that have exceeded that age range.

Habitat
Brown water snakes are inseparable with water. They enjoy being in water most of the time, and they mostly manage to come out onto land every now and then.

Diet
These water snakes enjoy aquatic life as their staple meal. Fishes, smaller snakes living in water are common casualties to the brown water snake. Also, when on land, small mammals and rodents are easy pickings for this snake.

Behavior
These snakes mainly operate during the day as they’re not capable of the best sight at night hours. Also, brown water snakes are notoriously good climbers and aren’t pushovers when it comes to a swim. When they’re threatened, they’ll react with swift movements, but depending on the opposition they could flee in a matter of moments.
